UPDATE – The Karnataka government in a recent relief package (on 19th May 2021), announced Rs. 3000 financial assistance to Auto, Taxi & Cab drivers. The same amount will be given to registered construction workers of the state.
Shri B.S. Yediyurappa, Chief Minister of Karnataka on 19th May 2021, made various announcements for the benefit of needy people in the state. One announcement was regarding the financial aid of Auto Rickshaw, Taxi & Cab Drivers of the state. He announced that one-time compensation of Rs. 5000 will be given to registered Auto Rickshaw, taxi, or Cab Drivers of the state.
This announcement is going to benefit over 210 Lakh Auto Rickshaw & Taxi drivers of the state.
